Tech Rider & AV Requirements
Ensuring a seamless in-person experience for your audience
When you book Mark Preston for an in-person event, you can expect a session that runs smoothly, connects with the audience, and leaves them with practical, founder-focused takeaways they can put into action immediately. This page outlines the technical setup that helps make that happen - giving your AV and events team everything they need well in advance.
Microphone Preference

Primary: Wireless headset or lapel (clip-on) microphone - for freedom to move and consistent sound quality.

Backup: Handheld wireless microphone available on stage as a standby.
Visuals & Presentation

Slides: Delivered in 16:9 widescreen format (PowerPoint or PDF).

Delivery: Slides provided in advance via email and USB backup on the day.

Clicker: Wireless presentation clicker with forward/backward functions.

Confidence Monitor: Preferred for seeing current slide, next slide, and speaker notes without turning away from the audience.
Stage & Lighting

Well-lit stage area (suitable for photography/video capture if required).

No podium (unless specifically requested for certain events as Mark is not the tallest speaker around at 5' 4" tall).

Clear space for movement and audience engagement.
Audio & Playback

Quality sound system for clear voice projection throughout the venue.

Audio connection to the AV desk if playing any short videos or sound bites.

Option for music playback during entry/exit if desired by the organiser.
On-Site AV Team Coordination

Pre-event tech check with AV crew before the session begins.

Event organiser or AV lead available for any last-minute adjustments.
Recording & Photography

Recording is permitted (with organiser’s confirmation) for promotional or internal purposes.

If the event is recorded or photographed, organiser agrees to share copies for potential use in Mark’s speaker reel or marketing (where applicable).
What Mark Will Provide
